October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month
Down Syndrome Awareness Month is a time to promote the skills, abilities and talents of people with Down syndrome. During the month of October, we celebrate individuals with Down syndrome and make people aware of their accomplishments; it’s not about celebrating disabilities, it’s about celebrating abilities.
IMDSA are excited to announce our Raising for Research Campaign
3 x $21 Challenge
Our challenge to you is to find 3 (or more!) individuals that can give $21 in the name of research. Once they accept, you then pass the challenge down to them and remind them to challenge their friends to challenge others. It is quite simple and potentially game-changing!
There is very little known about mosaic Down syndrome. The only way to discover what mosaic Down syndrome means for each individual is to conduct more research in all areas of mDs. Please help us as we raise unprecedented funds in the name of research. To find out more information regarding research that has been performed in the area of mosaic Down syndrome specifically, please visit our research page here.
In an effort to simplify the process for you, our families and friends, we have created a short tutorial on how you can participate. Just click the image below to watch the film and if you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
