Every March, IMDSA’s Mosaic Down Syndrome (mDs) Awareness Campaign brings people together to celebrate and raise awareness about mosaic Down syndrome. This month-long initiative includes special events, stories, and activities leading up to World Down Syndrome Day on March 21st.
Faces of Mosaic is IMDSA’s 2026 Awareness Campaign created to celebrate the extraordinary individuals who make up our mosaic Down syndrome community — because every life is more than a diagnosis.
This campaign is also a meaningful way to support IMDSA’s mission in 2026. Our annual sustainability goal is to raise $50,000 to continue providing advocacy, education, research support, and community programs for individuals with mosaic Down syndrome and their families.
Every story shared, every fundraiser created, and every donation made through Faces of Mosaic helps move us closer to sustaining the work our community relies on throughout the year.
Together, we celebrate extraordinary lives — and sustain the mission that supports them.
Share Your Story!
We invite families and individuals impacted by mosaic Down syndrome to share their unique stories by creating your own fundraising page. These stories can be shared through email, text, or social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter).
From February 25th through March 21st, IMDSA will feature these incredible stories and individual fundraising pages on our Facebook and Instagram accounts to showcase the extraordinary lives within the mDs community. To create your own personal fundraising page and to tell your story please go here: IMDSA Awareness fundraiser for 2026!
Fundraising Goals
Faces of Mosaic: How the Impact Adds Up
IMDSA’s 2026 sustainability goal is $50,000, the amount needed to continue providing advocacy, education, research support, and community programs for individuals with mosaic Down syndrome and their families throughout the year.
The Faces of Mosaic Awareness Campaign is one meaningful way we work toward this annual goal — powered by families, stories, and community support.
How Families Make a Difference
Each participating family or individual is encouraged to set a personal fundraising goal of $321 or more, inspired by World Down Syndrome Day (3/21). When families come together at this level, the collective impact is powerful.
To keep fundraising simple and approachable, we encourage asking for donations in increments of $21 — an easy way for friends, family, and supporters to take part.
The Power of Participation
More than 50 families participate in our Awareness Campaign each year
When families set goals of $321 or more, we make meaningful progress toward our $50,000 goal
Every story shared and every donation moves us closer to sustaining IMDSA’s work in 2026
Why It Matters
Faces of Mosaic is not about one fundraiser or one number — it’s about coming together to celebrate extraordinary lives while ensuring IMDSA can continue supporting families today and into the future.
One story. One family. One step closer to sustaining IMDSA in 2026.
Taking part in the Faces of Mosaic Awareness Campaign is easy — and there are two separate steps that work together.
Step 1: Submit Your Photo
Submitting a photo allows us to include your loved one in the official Faces of Mosaic Awareness Campaign and feature them across IMDSA’s website and social media during World Down Syndrome Day.
Photo submissions are collected through IMDSA’s website.
Step 2: Create Your Fundraising Page
Creating a personal or team fundraising page on Zeffy allows you to raise funds in support of IMDSA’s mission and our 2026 sustainability goal of $50,000.
We encourage families to use the same photo for both steps — the photo you submit for the awareness campaign works perfectly for your Zeffy fundraising page and helps keep the campaign consistent.
