It depends on the type of loan. If we are taknlig about a mortgage loan they will typically pull a tri-merge credit report and use the mid-fico score. Now we look at the risk factor and type of loan your are persuing. If you are applying for a conforming loan product such as Fannie Mea or Freddie Mac supported product such Flex or my community high ltv program they they will use the lower mid fico of the two borrowers. Now if we are looking at a non-conforming alt a type loan product sub-prime they will usually go with the mid fico of the primary wage earner. All depends on your and how much you borrow LTV (loan to value) that will set up the type of product you are able to qualify for.

A lot of these companies have the same ornwes and underwriters. Sounds like you are already in over your head. These are designed to put you in a trap that will be very hard to recover from. Pay off your first loan ASAP and never get one again.
